My Final thoughts on Watons the Super computer that can play Jeopardy(Spoiler Alert)

E-mail Print PDF

Last week Jeopardy aired a special bringing back the smartest people from Jeopardy to compete against Watson the supercomputer that plays jeopardy.  The two famous people were Ken and Brad.  They each stumped jeopardy for weeks on end and making millions of dollars in the process.  I liked Ken more but that is just a personal preference.  They both performed amazingly well given the circumstances.

The Price of Being Normal is too high

Last night my family and I were watching "Clash of the Commercials".  It showed the top american and non-american commercials of all time.  In the last 20 minutes of the show they asked the audience to go online and vote for what they believed to be the better commercial.

Never say "never"

The word never has lost all meaning to me. It's a word that I hear on a daily basis and I never hear it used properly.  Whenever I hear the word my mind will automatically replace it with the word "unlikely".  Unlikely is less definitive then never.  Let's go over a few.

Shwag for the Poor

A guy I know at work was wearing a Fight Network TV shirt.  He didn’t seem that into the fight network so I had to ask if supported them.  He said “he didn’t” but he sure likes free t-shirts.  My mind started to go into overdrive over this idea.

Spiders are moving up the evolutionary chain

They are creepy and they are crawly, but they are not the Adams Family.  They are spiders and they can scare the crap out of me.  I think this stems from all the horror movies about crawly things that I saw as a youngster. A short list of those movies would include Arachnaphobia, and The Mist.  A larger list would have included Eight Legged Freaks.

I’ve often thought my fear grows the less spiders look like humans.  They have more eyes and more legs then us.  When they stand still it look like they are thinking.  They look like they are thinking of ways to kill me.

My Movie List

I have been trying to create a database a of my movies and TV shows.  Currently I have a lot of Movies up.  Unless most people I prefer to turn on a good movie then read a good book so to know me is really to know what movies and tv shows I have seen in the past.  Here is the list.
